Ok, so bear with me as this "recap" may be more rambling than actual recap as I am definitely an "overtired mama" today... seriously Big Brother? A finale until 12 PM Atlantic? Brutal. I prefer to be sleeping by 10 (note that the 21 year old version of me would be horrified to hear that... 10 PM is when the night got started...)
I decided to group these episodes together... mostly because I'm tired and lazy... also, I discovered that the recap I wrote for May 4 was "saved" but I didn't "publish it" so I will cut and paste in to this recap.
So, to recap, Sabrina won HOH... much to the horror of the other 3 houseguests. She screams obnoxiously for what feels like 20 minutes. When she gets to her HOH room, we're reminded that Sabrina gave up real food for a week to see her loved one... so there is no booze and no treats in her basket. Jon can't believe it. "What a waste of an HOH", he says.
Big Brother held the "Big Brother awards" which is essentially a way for producers to show some recaps of the season in a less boring way than Survivor does it. (Note to Survivor producers: I hate the episode where the Castaways "reflect" on people already voted off... boring) A couple of highlights... Best look? Naked Arlie (ew). Best dance? Jon and Allison (agreed), Best cry? Sabrina (Duh... no one else cried as much as her). Best moment? Kenny telling Sarah he's gay (love it).
Ultimately, Sabrina nominates Heather an Jon, indicating that Jon is her target.
On to the POV - A sort of Board Game. Fun! Jon ultimately wins. He goes to talk to Heather and tells her that her fate is sealed, she's heading home. She's upset. So am I.. I like Heather, but I think we all knew that Jon wouldn't send Neda home.
So Heather is evicted, and the houseguests find out that Canada is the 7th Jury member. They record cheezy messages as to why Canada should vote for them.
So now, the 3 part HOH competition. Part 1 - sinking boat... they have to keep their water levels low to keep their boat from sinking. This challenge is pretty physically demanding. Neda is the first one out. Sabrina and Jon battle it out for over 2 hours.... but ultimately, Jon wins. Sabrina is upset. Hard to lose such a physically challenging competition after hanging in for so long.
Part 2 - Neda wins
Part 3 - Question challenge.... between Neda and Jon.... and they ask for questions to be repeated a few times... good stalling technique. And Jon wins!
At this point in the game, even if you've played a pretty "clean game" this is usually when you have to break your word to somebody... such is the case for Jon. He has a final 2 deal with Neda and Sabrina. And this, for me, was the shocker of the season. Jon evicts NEDA! He decides to go to final 2 with Sabrina. This was a smart move on his part. Not only do I think he has a better chance against Sabrina.... he's doing what Neda would have done to him had she won that competition, and she confirms as much with Arisa after her eviction.
Jury members get a chance to ask their questions of the final two. You can tell some are bitter, most of all, Neda, who asks Jon what moves did he make in the game that were his own and not "someone else's". And when she casts her vote, she says she's voting for the person that played "the best/my game". Burn!
But ultimately.... Jon wins!
Fantastic season. But now... what am I to do with all my spare time. :)

Big Brother Canada - May 1
Picking up where we left off last episode. Everyone's "sacrifice" for seeing their family members are coming in to effect. Not all sacrifices are created equal. Take for example, Heather's sacrifice - No access to HOH for 24 hours (or however long it was, I can't remember). Jon's in solitary confinement there, so, technically no one has access to the HOH. No big sacrifice there. Neda - No access to personal belongings for... some period of time. Yeah, not being able to get your clothes isn't great, but is it awful? Not really. Although we have to see her "struggle" through using an iron as a hair straightener. Remember the 70's ....ok, Neda's to young to remember the 70's... and so am I... but people used to straighten there hair that way all the time.
Anyway, then the rest of the sacrifices:
- Sabrina - no food for a week - yeah, that's a challenge
- Jon - Solitary confinement for 24 hours - I would likely sleep the whole time.... but I think the biggest disadvantage to this punishment is that you miss out on game talk.
- Adel - No sleep for 36 hours. This, to me, is the hardest one. I struggle through the day if I am up an hour later than usual. Nevermind if I had NO SLEEP. And I will just add... those doll heads he was playing with were super creepy.
We see some clips of Adel and Sabrina's interactions. Their relationship reminds me of one I had in grade 4 with a boy in my class. He would pull my hair and twist my arm. My mom told me he did this because he liked me.
Then, we have Sabrina's "campaigning". Wow, she is really bad at this. Aggressive campaigning and threatening not to vote for someone in the end is a terrible strategy. I'm glad that Heather and Neda both say that they don't like the strategy... but I agree with Neda, they will likely keep Sabrina around for reasons other than her campaigning.
Jon and Neda also have come to the realization that they need to break their alliance. To see them struggle with that decision shows what a genuine friendship they have.
We did get a brief glimpse of the Jury house as Rachelle showed the video of Adel's nomination ceremony. Figures that Arlie would find Adel's cruel words hilarious. But, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Adel didn't make any friends doing that.
Down to the vote - and Adel is sent packing. I think we all had a feeling that was coming, but this also means we will be subjected to more of Sabrina's campaigning. Boo.
HOH Competition is a series of "before or after" questions, but it is "too be continued". When we left the competition, Sabrina and Neda were tied with the most points...
Tune in Sunday to see who the winner is.
And Arisa informed us that the feeds will go down on Sunday... which also means no more spoilers... what will I do when I have to wait for the show to actually air to know what happened! :)

Big Brother Canada - April 30
We open up on the "fall-out" from nominations.
Jon and Neda's plan is to tell Heather she is a "pawn" but actually send her home.
After the ceremony, Heather leaves, pretty upset. Jon doesn't understand why Heather is so mad, but Neda takes the opportunity to sympathize with Heather in hopes of winning her Jury vote. I get why Heather is mad. Even if she believes she was nominated as a pawn, generally they have been letting people know they are being nominated... as a courtesy. But Jon didn't do that. Only now are people starting to notice that Heather is a competitor. Really, Heather has had to fight hard this whole game as an "underdog" with no strong alliance to back her up. Unfortunately for Jon, if he was in the final 2, this experience with Heather could make her vote for someone else over him as it can leave her with a bad taste in her mouth.
On to the POV, you have to get in a sort of "wind tunnel box" and gather up letters to form a sentence. The Houseguest who does this the fastest, wins POV. There are also bags hanging from the top of the box that contain money amounts, you can choose to go for that as well. I have to admit, this challenge looks fun!
Neda decides she wants to "go for the money". Here's the thing.... if you want to get rid of Heather this week, shouldn't you be working to make sure she doesn't win? Or is this another case of the "Heather's not a big threat" mentality.
Sabrina also decides to "go for the money". This decision is even more stupid than Neda's decision as Sabrina is ACTUALLY ON THE BLOCK! Play the game, girl!
When the challenge concludes, we learn there is another "Twistos Twist" (Twistos is certainly getting bang for their buck with their sponsorship $). For those that chose to grab some money, only the houseguest who grabbed their money in the quickest amount of time wins theirs... and the winner is ... Neda. Neda wins $3000. But the big winner is Heather because she wins POV. Adel does the classic "beauty queen clap" (fake smile + clapping+ thinking "damn").
Adel decides he will try to convince Jon to nominate Neda instead of him. So apparently Adel is oblivious to how close Jon and Neda are? Although, unbeknownst to Jon, Neda is prepared to ditch him in the end.
On to a "reward challenge", the hosueguests have to decide what they are willing to give up in order to spend 2 minutes with a loved one. This is one of the most heart warming challenges I've ever seen on Big Brother. It's hard to make a houseguest look unlikeable during this sequence. I especially loved watching Heather and her boyfriend. Such a cute little couple. I also liked seeing Jon and his dad. He looked like an excited 8 year old boy while he talked to his dad. Although I was hoping his dad would say "keep your hands out of your pants". haha.
Back to the serious stuff. Heather uses the POV on herself and Adel is nominated in her place. We find out tonight who is going home.

Big Brother Canada - April 24
I'm going to start off by saying THIS "overtired mama" is going to stay overtired if Big Brother Canada doesn't throw me a bone next season by helping us east coasters out... have at least one show a week that starts at 8 PM eastern. That's 9 PM Atlantic..... because when the show ends at 11 PM... I'm done. Exhausted. Anyway, there's my "rant of the day". Just kidding... that won't be my last rant today. I'm a complainer.
Recap of last night...
Heather, Neda and Adel decide to hide on Jon when he goes to the Diary room. He kind of freaks out when he can't find them. Pretty funny.
Heather and Neda talk strategy. Jon would be hard to beat in the end... for both of them. But as they chat, I find it hard to believe that Neda would ever vote Jon out. Not that I want her to, I really like Jon, but if I was Neda, I would be thinking it would be hard to beat him in the end. If she wants to make a big move, she has to get him out. But I don't see it happening. And that makes me happy, I like Jon.
We got to see a little peak at the Jury house. Very nice. However, then we have to endure various shots of Arlie in the nude. Ugh, I was hoping that we wouldn't be subjected to that site again once he was sent there.
Jon receives his "treats" for winning the reward competition... and bitter Neda is not happy to miss out and have to eat slop.
Next we get to see a montage of Adel and Sabrina fighting, including a rehashing of the "sugar incident" where she said Adel "ripped the sugar from her hands". (But, in fact, we see in the replay that he took it off the counter).
Leading up to the vote, we see Sabrina pleading to be kept... including a chat she has with Jon where he muses about "throwing the HOH". I never get that. Unless you're playing with no one else (ie - no alliance), who cares if you can't compete the following week! Assuming you have a good Alliance, shouldn't it be good enough that your fellow alliance members will be able to compete? Throwing an HOH competition is stupid.
The vote - Rachelle is unanimously voted out. I will say, I didn't really like her as a player, but she deserves some kind of reward for dealing with Sabrina's crying all the time.
I see Neda took Emmett and Jillian's advice and recorded a nice goodbye message for Rachelle.
On to HOH - They have to untangle themselves through an obstacle course (does that make sense?). Anyway, this is a "to be continued" result. Unless you can't wait, in which case, look up some spoilers to see who won.... like I did. :)

Big Brother Canada - April 23
At the end of the previous episode, Adel said that his nasty speech, when he nominated the Gremlins, was part of his strategy. He elaborated during this episode.... he said that he wants the other houseguests to consider taking him to the end because they will assume that he wouldn't have the votes because everyone hates him. He thinks he can talk himself out of those speeches. Maybe... but given how angry the Gremlins are... it would have to be some pretty sweet "sweet talk". Has Adel forgotten about Paul? Remember the horrible things he said about Andrew? How did that work out for him? Yeah....
Next up - POV. Peter Brown (BB1) is hosting the competition.... he reads "postcards from evicted houseguests". The current houseguests have to figure out who the post card is from and find giant puzzle pieces to assemble the postcard. When the challenge begins, everyone is gangbusters.... and the Gremlins are shocked at how well Heather is doing. I'm really not liking all of the Heather bashing that's been happening this season. The other houseguests underestimate her. Neda wins POV, and along with the POV, wins a special visit from Jillian and Emmett form Season 1. They talk strategy with her. Personally, I'm not convinced Neda can win. She's made some enemies, and has a few likeable houseguests left there with her that she's aligned with. Jillian points out that you need to be nice in your "goodbye messages" as these are the people who will be voting for the winner. I shouted "Duh!" out loud, but apparently this is something Neda hadn't considered. And we know that given the speech she gave when she nominated Allison, and the nasty goodbye message for Arlie. I think she has her work cut out for her.
The Houseguests get a visit from the Easter Bunny. Neda is "morally opposed" to the Easter Bunny and wants to know why parents would lie to their kids. Um... has she not heard of Santa? The tooth fairy? Is she morally opposed to those things too? Although, they are different, because they're real... right? RIGHT?
Anyway, POV ceremony - it's no surprise that Neda doesn't use the Veto. I'm just happy she didn't make them each make a ridiculous speech.
Eviction night tonight! Which Gremlin is headed for the door?

Big Brother Canada - April 20
Yes, I'm a day late with this recap. But, better late than never, right?
So we find out that once Neda won HOH, she was sequestered in the War Room and told she would be part of an "instant eviction". She had 5 minutes to decide who to nominate. With Neda's absence, the other houseguests were freaking out about what it could all mean. Eventually, Arisa brings them in on the secret. Neda nominates Sabrina and Allison. Everyone has to vote immediately. No surprise, Allison goes home. Good luck getting Allison's vote in the end Neda. Breaking promises never bodes well. When you make a final 4 deal with a jury member, you better have a pretty good excuse to break it.
On to the next HOH. Adel wins. He almost immediately tells Sabrina that he is nominating Sabrina and Rachelle. I don't think anyone was surprised by that. But certainly, Rachelle and Sabrina are regretting keeping Adel over Arlie.
There's a little "interlude" of fun stuff when Rachelle says that Big Brother has allowed them to have a Passover meal together. Everyone enjoys themselves.
I'm not going to get in to the various crying escapades of Sabrina, because we've all seen it before. She does decide to hang her jury vote over everyone's head, but no one bites the bait.
In the end, Adel sticks to his assertion and nominates "the Gremlins" although in the process says some pretty mean things about the girls. He says it's part of his "strategy". Well, if his strategy is to not have those girls vote for him to win.... mission accomplished.

Big Brother Canada - April 16
Let me start off by saying, this is one of the only episodes I didn't "live tweet", which means I have to write this recap completely based on my memory... and that may not be a good thing. But here goes...
Recap of the last episode - we are reminded that "the Gremlins" have been nominated. Sabrina says repeatedly what a "stupid move" this was for Jon to make because they offered him "the best deal ever". I'm not convinced it was a stupid move, but anyway...
We see that Arlie is totally pumped about his "alliance" with Jon and says he feels safe. (spoiler alert - he's not safe).
Flash forward to Adel getting a challenge from "Marsha the Moose" this challenge consists of : 1 - Getting someone to work out with him for 10 minutes; 2 - Getting one of the girls to go on a date with him; 3 - Make someone cry... Marsha says the last one won't be so hard because Sabrina's "probably crying right now". So true Marsha, so true. Little does Adel know that the other houseguests are being given a challenge as well. Don't let Adel complete his challenge. Oh Big Brother, you like to stir up drama. So Adel tries so hard... he asks Jon to work out with him... Jon decides to string him along in to thinking he will work out, he doesn't. He tries to make Sabrina cry... for once, she doesn't. And finally, he asks each of the girls on a date. This part of the challenge makes me sad. He looks so hopeful as he asks them all, only to be shot down. In particular, when he's asking Allison, he keeps asking her to "high 5" on it. He looks like an excited kid every time he's close to "sealing the deal", but alas, it wasn't to be. He's called to the diary room and told he failed. He gets a little snarky with Marsha, and comes out to tell the houseguests he lost his challenge and that the house will be punished. Then Jon reveals their challenge and that they've won a reward for the whole house. A date night! Date night consisted of fondue and alcohol! How romantic! So we have a segment of very happy houseguests... and one shot of someone (I couldn't see who) vomiting in the bathroom. Fun!
Now on to the serious stuff. POV competition. The competition involves throwing tshirts in a suitcase. Jon wins POV, plus a vacation. At the POV ceremony, he saves Rachelle and nominates Arlie. THEN Allison uses her secret POV to save Sabrina and Jon nominates Adel. Everyone is freaking out!!!
We find out if the "backdoor Arlie" plan goes ahead, or if the house will flip.

Big Brother Canada - April 13
I will start this post with a little confession. I didn't actually watch the entire episode last night. In my defense, there was a children's birthday party at my house yesterday and I had a headache. Reasonable, right? Anyway, I did watch the first 20 minutes or so and I've been reading the spoilers... so hopefully what I reveal in this post is not beyond what's been revealed in the episode, but here we go.
So we pick back up with a recap of what happened last episode, and Arlie talks about what an awesome player he is. All while SHOUTING! I've had about enough of Arlie.
So when Kenny is evicted, Sabrina says "I'm here alone now." Ouch to Rachelle. I thought they were "best friends"?
We are back to the HOH competition. Rachelle says she wants to win so she can make a big move and get a major player out. Who is she kidding? She would wait for her instructions from other people. I don't think she's made a move by herself at all during this game.
Jon wins HOH, everyone celebrates.... well, except Sabrina and Rachelle who have small smiles on their faces and give a slow clap. Although Sabrina says she's relatively confident because she and Jon have a close relationship. They do?
Anyway, I can't comment on what they showed for the remainder of the episode, other than the two nominees are Rachelle and Sabrina... or as the "Sloppy Seconds" alliance calls them, "the Gremlins". I don't think those nominees are a surprise to anyone.
We'll find out Wednesday who wins the POV and if they use it!

Big Brother Canada - April 10
Double eviction night!
We start the episode with Sarah asking Arlie to save her from eviction. He says he can't. I have a hard time with this conversation because he doesn't take his toothbrush out of his mouth when he talks to her. If I were her, I would have wanted to shove his toothbrush down his throat. Am I the only one that is finding Arlie annoying?
Then on to Allison and Sabrina. Allison tells Sabrina she's going to work with the other side, and I want to say "Well, duh" because if she's working with Kenny's side, she has to try to keep Sarah, and that wouldn't make sense. But this really upsets Sabrina, who starts to cry, and cry to the point of gasping for air. Really? Come on now Sabrina. You cry so much in this house that I'm pretty sure your tears mean nothing to anyone. I was happy to see Allison say in her diary room session "It's not all about you Sabrina". So true. Although I will add that I watched this exchange on the live feeds, and Allison was upset by Sabrina's crying, and Allison was hurt by their exchange and cried when Sabrina left. Sabrina proceeded directly outside and ripped Allison apart to Rachelle, no tears, just anger. Another reason I don't trust her crying is sincere.
Neda decides she's going to "sabotage" Kenny by dumping out all of the condiments that Kenny uses to improve the taste of slop.
We get to see all of the houseguests relaxing in the back yard when Kenny decides to say "F*** it, I'm gay!" Everyone freaks out and are excited. Then Sabrina says "That's why you do hot yoga!" And talks about how all of her friends are gay. Awkward.
First eviction - Sarah and her cute dress are voted out of the house. She and Kenny cry for a bit, and she leaves. Bye bye Mumsie.
Next, Arisa drops the bombshell, double eviction.
HOH competition, and Neda wins! I'm still not clear as to whether Arlie threw that or not, but anyway. Neda nominates Sabrina and Rachelle. At first, I was puzzled by the nominations, but then, I realize what she was doing.... she wants to backdoor Kenny.
Sure enough, Veto competition, and Arlie shows the most gusto I've seen from him all game... and wins! He uses the Veto on Rachelle, and Kenny is nominated. Unsurprisingly, Kenny is voted out. What was a surprise? Rachelle voted to evict Sabrina. I'm not really sure why.
Then they begin the next HOH, but it's a "too be continued competition"... so we don't know the winner... and by "we" I mean, people who haven't read the spoilers, which doesn't include me, because I do know who won.

Big Brother Canada - April 9
So we begin tonight with the "fallout" from the nomination ceremony.
Allison "exposes" the "First 5" alliance. Brilliant.
At one point we see Sabrina talk about Allison working against "her side" of the house... and the people Andrew was loyal to. Here's the thing. Allison is nominated against Kenny, and Andrew was loyal to both of them. So of course she has to work "against" Kenny... how else would she stay in the house?
We also got to see the houseguests unwind a little bit with a hot tub dance party. I will admit that party looked pretty fun and I wished I was there. I also enjoyed that you could here a couple people yell "this is awesome!"
Now, the POV. The Challenge is a "gold dig" challenge... looking for letters. You have to spell the longest word possible. For whatever reason, Sabrina and Rachelle seemed confused by this. Then, we can cue the multiple jokes about whether Heather is able to spell, etc, etc. Am I missing something? Why does everyone hate Heather so much? I don't get it. I haven't seen her do anything really bad. But, I digress.
In the end, Kenny and Heather have words with the same amount of letters, but Heather's is misspelled. Sabrina seems to enjoy that a little too much. Although, until Jon pointed out that it was misspelled, nobody else seemed to notice, so either none of the houseguests are very perceptive, or they are all equally bad spellers. So Kenny wins POV.
Big Brother then puts a potted plant in the house. Everyone proceeds to look over the plant pretty carefully. Allison evidently pays the most attention and examines the closest, because she finds a clue and proceeds on a bit of a "Scavenger Hunt" which leads her to the "war room" and .... the secret power of veto. She can use it anytime over the next 3 eviction ceremonies. Exciting.
We then see a bit of a crumbling in the first 5 alliance. Arlie goes to Kenny to try to convince him that if "someone" flips, it must be Sabrina. Kenny's not buying it, so he goes and reports back to the others. Arlie awkwardly shows up and they all passive aggressively discuss how stupid it would be for "someone" to flip at this point. Arlie says in the diary room that he "created the other side to fight this side". Um, he did? Because I don't remember any of that.
On to the POV ceremony. I'm really glad that Allison wasn't forced to make a speech, because we all knew that Kenny was going to use it. Allison also decides not to use her POV at this point. Sarah is put up as replacement.
Tonight's episode should be exciting... a double eviction!

Big Brother Canada - April 6
First, let me start off by saying, this is the most I've posted on a regular basis on this blog, so... yay me!
Now back to Big Brother....
We pick up where we left off at the HOH challenge. And, as I indicated last time, I think this challenge really shows you who is on which side of the house. And despite what Arlie thinks... throwing the competition also shows what side he is on.... and Sarah knows it.
In the end Heather wins HOH. I look forward to watching Sabrina and Rachelle suck up to her, given how horrible they've been to her at this point. She shows everyone her HOH room and Rachelle rolls her eyes and sits with a sour look on her face as Heather reads her letter from her boyfriend. We also get a little clip from the diary room about how much she doesn't like that Heather won. Well Rachelle, bitter is not a good look for you. Suck it up, buttercup. We also see Kenny say he doesn't understand why she's crying over the letter because she's only been in there a month. Wait. Pause. Is this not the guy who has cried the last few times other HOHs read their letters? And who could forget how upset he was when Ika shredded the letters from home:
So don't act like she's being ridiculous! As much as I loved Kenny in the beginning... his alliance with Andrew and recent behavior are really turning me against him.
Then Heather picks people to be on slop. Rachelle, Kenny.... then Sabrina avoids eye contact and looks terrified hoping she won't be chosen... and.. it's her lucky day because Sarah volunteers.
Big Brother tells the houseguests to pack their things. Everyone panics assuming it's instant eviction time. And Sabrina blurts out that she voting Rachelle out if she's nominated. Ouch. She regrets saying that when it turns out it's actually just a "sock puppet challenge". They are put in to pairs and have to create a sock puppet "look-a-like" for their partner and speak as though they are that person.. using the sock puppet. A number of people go out of character. And we see Rachelle mock Heather in her impression (surprise, surprise). Then it's revealed that Houseguests will have one item removed for every time they went "out of character". Most people broke 4 or 5 times... except Sabrina, who broke 21 times! Seriously!? You are terrible at challenges girl.
Now we see some negotiating happening... Kenny is scrambling and hoping people won't nominate/vote for him. He goes to Jon... who has approached Kenny with deals in the past and been turned down... good luck with that one. Then he "thinks he's reaching" Heather. No, no you're not.
Remember when no one wanted to be put on slop? Well thanks to Rachelle, everyone is on slop. Despite the amount of times she rolled her eyes in Heather's HOH room, she ate some of her candy. A big "no-no". And as a result, everyone's on slop for 48 hours. Rachelle cries, and no one really feels sorry for her.
Ultimately, Kenny and Allison are nominated (Allison as a so-called pawn). But, who knows what will happen with the POV and the secret POV that Arisa mentioned during one commercial break. I guess we'll find out Wednesday.

Big Brother Canada - April 3
I have a confession. I didn't find tonight's episode particularly interesting. I know, right? Usually when you know a disliked player is out of the game, it's pretty exciting... but this was just kind of ... meh. Just me?
Anyway, let's get down to it.
Canada decides to "reward" the houseguests with a camp out. And what's a camping trip without booze? So we see a brief clip of some silly antics. And the housguests get overly excited about a digital camera and start taking a lot of pictures.
Kenny flirts a bit with Rachelle to try to get some information out of her. I'm pretty sure that's the most I've seen her talk this season. She says that Arlie is "a nothing to her". Nice. Following the "flirtation", Kenny decides to confess to Sarah that he's gay. The genuine look of surprise on her face was awesome. She doesn't understand why he would have kept that from everyone, but he explains his "strategy". She later speculates that this confession could hurt him rather than help because he was such a good liar. I maintain that he didn't need to pretend to be straight to flirt with girls. Girls flirt with gay guys all the time.
Then we get a brief (very brief) look at the "Newfie families". The Pardy (Jon's) family hosts Kenny and Allison's families and it looks like a pretty fun kitchen party. Singing, dancing and good times. We see Jon's girlfriend who says she and Neda would be "great friends". That's girlfriend speak for "I'm jealous of her, but I don't want Canada thinking I'm a jealous *B*". Side note - Kenny's mom is a pretty lady. And finally... Allison's family got ripped off... not much in the way of footage of them.
Then - on to the vote. No surprise - Andrew is voted out, with his only votes to stay coming from Allison (who is wearing the shortest skirt I've ever seen) and Kenny. My favourite "vote casting" was from Adel who "picked his nose" as he voted (tribute to Andrew). I'm pretty sure this is what we all expected when we saw who was nominated.
Then we have the challenge. HGs have to answer a series of questions. If you get it right, you pick someone to knock out of the game. If you're wrong, you're out. These challenges are great, because it sort of "shows your hand" to the other houseguests. Kind of hard to tell someone you were "hoping they would win the challenge" if you knock them out. We only get so far and Arisa "shuts it down". So it's "to be continued"(although, if you're like me and can't wait, you can read who won on any of the spoiler sites).

Big Brother Canada - April 2
I could have called this episode "I feel sorry for Andrew... wait... no I don't". And you will soon find out why.
We begin the episode with the "fall out" from Canada's nominations. Sabrina is sad and Andrew is sad. At first I think - I feel bad for Andrew and Sabrina. It would be awful to be nominated by "Canada" and to think that, obviously, you are the most disliked in the house. Andrew actually has a little cry over it. And at that point, I am feeling bad for him.
Then, while the houseguests are out in the yard, we see that Sabrina believes she was nominated because they want to break up her alliance and proceeds to ask everyone if they think she's a "B". Sarah says no, and then we see a clip of her in the diary room saying she deserves an Academy Award for her performance. If you are a horrible person... and you ask people, during a game where they could potentially be relying on your vote to win, if you are a horrible person... don't expect an honest answer.
Then, Canada has issued a challenge to Sarah. Apparently we all think that the houseguests are disgusting.... I won't disagree with that.... so she is the manners police... and needs to issue tickets to anyone doing anything disgusting or rude.
So we get a montage of various houseguests swearing, burping, "grabbing their junk", picking their nose and mooning people.
In the end we find out that the top 3 "ticket receivers" are Arlie (for taking his clothes off so often), Jon (for "grabbing his junk" too much) and Andrew (for picking his nose). They are then asked to go to the HOH room and apologize to Canada. The apologies are pretty comical. Especially Jon's.
Now it's time for the POV. Sabrina and Andrew automatically compete. Then the others are chosen by random draw. Jon is chosen, Heather is chosen, Neda is chosen, and then Heather draws the "Houseguests choice". Andrew hisses in her ear that she needs to pick Kenny. She chooses.... Adel. Andrew is ticked. He decides he's going to confront her (well there's a way to get votes). He calls her a number of nasty names. His position is that she was obligated to choose who HE wanted to have compete in the HOH as he needs someone who would take him off the block. As Heather pointed out, she's playing for herself... not him or anyone else. She has no obligation to choose as he tells her to. But he decides to bash her anyway. And my sympathy for him flies out the window.
Jon wins POV.
Sabrina cries. But at this point, do any of us care when she cries? Not to sound heartless, but we've so many of her tears, I think we must all be immune to it by now.
Allison is also sad, she doesn't want to see Andrew go. I personally think it would be better for her game if he goes, and maybe she can become the houseguest we were all hoping she would be.
So, we'll find out tonight who is going home.

Big Brother Canada - March 30
So, for once, I didn't know what was going to happen in this episode, before it happened. The live-feeds were down from Saturday until after the show last night.... so Canada's nominees remained a secret until then.
Let's pick up from where we left off - Houseguests found out that Canada was HOH. Let the paranoia begin!!
No one knows how they are portrayed on the show, so they're nervous. True enough... but for those of us who watch the live feeds (or read the recaps of live feeds in my case), we get to know the houseguests a little better. Take as an example, Sabrina - on the show last night, they show a couple of clips of her being nervous about being nominated, but on the live feeds, she remained relatively confident that she would not be nominated as she thought Allison, Andrew, and Kenny were more disliked than her.
Adel lets us in on him being a little depressed that Ika is no longer in the house, as she is his "blood sister". I've read a lot of criticism about Adel's "sadness" online, people think he's "putting it on" to get Canada's sympathy. Here are my thoughts: maybe he is putting it on a little thick, but there's no denying that he's virtually alone in this house, no real alliance, so, he probably is a little sad. Isolation is not a good feeling.
Big Brother informs the houseguests that they will be sharing the HOH room. They will each have 1 hour in the HOH room. When Big Brother sounds the horn, they will have to sing Oh Canada. Which they proceed to do. Then we get to see "Canada's HOH room". Here we see just about every stereotype going - plaid, beaver, maple donuts, maple syrup, there's talk of poutine... How patriotic! Then we get a little montage of Houseguests singing Oh Canada... and there's one thing that's for sure... this is not American Idol... these houseguests can't sing.
Arlie and Sabrina muse over who will be nominated, and Sabrina is seeking some validation from Arlie. He says that he will tell her what she wants to here (ie - she's safe), but he's really hoping she's nominated.
On to the "Have/Have-not Challenge" which is called "Big Brother Prom". Here we see that houseguests have been randomly broken in to groups:
Andrew, Sara & Heather
Allison, Kenny & Neda
Arlie, Sabrina & Rachelle
Jon & Adel
( I hope I got those right)
This challenge is like "dance charades"... one house guests acts out a "well-known dance" while their teammates have to guess what it is. This is probably my favourite challenge so far.
We learn that Andrew & Kenny dance à la "Magic Mike". Rachelle is young (doesn't know "Vogue"), and Adel doesn't know how to do the Macarena.
Ultimately, Jon and Adel end up on slop. Andrew, Sara and Heather win a "post prom meal".
Jon is ticked.... but Neda calms him down. I like these two. If they can keep it together, I think they can go a long way.
So we get to the nominations and, no surprise, Andrew is nominated. We come down to Rachelle and Sabrina. Rachelle is very dramatic, complete with running mascara. But in the end, we all saw it coming, Sabrina is nominated.
I didn't like the idea of Canada being HoH, but at least they got the nominations right. Although, I will admit that I felt a split second of sympathy for the nominees as I'm sure it's not easy being nominated. As Andrew put it... being the two that "Canada dislikes the most and want out of the house".

Big Brother Canada - March 27 (yes, I skipped March 26)
Yes, I'll open by saying, I skipped March 26.... I was tired, and I do this for free...
Anyway, on to the recap.
So we're seeing the friendship between Ika and Adel grow. How unfortunate. I like Adel, he seems like a nice person. I hate to see him hitch his wagon to someone like Ika.
While Ika is talking to Adel in the bedroom, and Ika is making some horribly rude comments about Heather. Heather comes in to give Ika a hug and say she's "sorry they have to be on the block against each other". Heather is too nice for her own good.
Ika decides her new strategy is going to be running to Kenny and telling him what a good idea it would be to keep her in the game. She thinks this strategy is great. My thought was... isn't this what every person on the block does? Goes to the strongest player/alliance in the game and makes an argument for them to stay? Hardly a new strategy. Kenny, however, says Ika is making some "good points". He says Ika "isn't a stupid girl". Well, if you fall for her lies, you are certainly a "stupid boy".
Then we have a lengthy discussion about Sabrina's "emotional game" complete with various clips of her crying to everyone in the house. And basically, everyone has figured out that this is all an act. Well, everyone except maybe Rachelle.
To save Sabrina's "emotions", Sara literally hides while she talks to Kenny so Sabrina doesn't get upset when she sees them talking. Am I the only one that thought this seen was funny and ridiculous at the same time?
Heather decides she wants to make a pillow fort. Fun! So Ika and Adel join in on the fun. Once the fort is made, Ika apologizes for making "personal attacks" on Heather. Even if it wasn't sincere, I'm glad she said it. These girls are so mean to Heather.
Then we get to hear from Rachelle... and this is probably the longest segment we've seen about her this season. "I've gotten used to being a hot dog" (referring to her hotdog costume). Great. And that's it.
The houseguests are in the backyard and Big Brother drops balls on them. *Insert every joke about balls here*. The houseguests try to figure out what the significance is. They all decide that it must have to do with counting how many are there. Everyone gets their guess wrong..... except Ika. So, Ika wins the opportunity to make a decision.... allow houseguests to receive letters from home, or take $5,000.
This challenge generated a lot of discussion online... and a lot of heat from the houseguests.
Ika gets "Topaz-ed" (Season 1 reference) by Big Brother, and they air the footage of her making her decision. She decides to verbalize her thoughts as she makes her decision. As a side-note.... I did see on the live-feeds that Big Brother didn't tell her to talk out loud about her decision... she decided to to that herself.
Anyway, she does agonize over it a bit. She makes some pretty harsh comments about some of the houseguests, including Heather (I guess the apology didn't really mean much), Andrew, Kenny, Sabrina and Sara - which really adds some "sting" to this blow.... she decides to take the money. Andrew and Kenny are particularly angry. Ultimately, Ika makes her decision because she believes choosing the letters isn't going to make a difference, and they will likely vote her out anyway. I tend to agree. And, despite what some of the houseguests say.... I don't believe ALL of them would have chosen the letters. But by airing her comments in the house... it added salt to the wound.
In the end, Ika is voted out. I don't think anyone's surprised about that.
They also reveal to the houseguests that Canada is HOH this week. And I have to say, I hate when Canada is "part of the game". Nobody has really made a big move in this game (except for maybe getting Kyle out), and now Canada gets their "hands dirty" instead of a houseguest. I also always find that when Canada gets involved, people seem to get overly confident if Canada's decision benefits them. I will be interested to see where this goes.

Big Brother Canada - March 23
So let's pick up where my last post left off... HOH competition. People are slowly dropping out. My favourite part was when Ika and Heather were out.... can you say TENSION? Anyway, back to the competition. Sarah knows she has to win it, but unfortunately, Rachelle wins in the end. Oops, did I say "unfortunately", I'm not supposed to be biased, right? Actually, I can be, this is my own blog. I'll say it, I don't like Rachelle. Anyway, I said at the end of the previous episode that I thought she looked focused. I think this was a good challenge for "yoga lovers" as they know how to keep difficult poses for a long time. So, there ya go.
I like to call this episode "episode of the cocky players" as everyone is showing their "over-confident" side and talking about what masters of the game they are. Here's the thing, don't ever say things like "you are the puppet master", or "everyone's wrapped around your finger" because those are the kinds of things they replay over and over during your eventual eviction. The exception to the rule, maybe, is Dr. Will. But I digress....
Let's just cut down some of the text in this blog by saying....Kenny is confident, Andrew is confident, Sabrina is confident.... but there are some feeling not so confident. Ika cries about Sarah "ruining" her HOH. Guess Ika wasn't as "in control" as she thought she was. Also not feeling so secure, Sarah. I really feel for Sarah... I think she made the right choice in the vote, but now she has a full-on bullseye on her as a target for the "girls alliance".
Speaking of the girls alliance... I think they're a bit of a mess. And Rachelle as HOH? They may as well have put a mannequin in her place because, everyone is "directing her" as to what she should do. Does this girl not have a thought of her own? I feel like I know nothing about Rachelle... because she rarely talks and doesn't do anything significant. Just my thoughts....
Side note - Rachelle designates Sabrina (who volunteers), Heather, Adel and Arlie as 'have nots".
We have a little bit of fun in this episode when Allison and Jon are selected to go to the Diary Room, they're allowed to drink as much liquor as they like, but they aren't allowed to let on to the houseguests that they've been drinking. They drink a lot of liquor... and no one guesses they've been drinking. BB tells them they've won their challenge, and everyone gets alcohol, even the "have nots". Oh happy days!
Anyway, in the end, Rachelle nominates who she was told to.... Heather and Allison. Heather is told she's the target and Allison is a "pawn". We'll see how that goes.
Well that was a short and sweet wrap up. I'm not going to lie, I wasn't feeling well last night and was only half watching, so if I missed something big, fill us in ... write in the comments section.

Big Brother Canada - March 20
Well, what a night. Lots to get to, so let's dive right in.
Ika sits down with Paul to fill him in on her plan to have Heather evicted and keep Paul. Then she asks him if she can trust him. Um... shouldn't you have asked him that before you told him everything? I mean, what if he said "no you can't trust me".... what could you do? Ask him to forget everything you told him? Anyway, Paul and Adel chat and Adel tells him to keep his mouth shut and don't piss anyone off. Good advice. Seriously. Because evidently, Paul needs to be reminded of that.
Adel has a little meeting with everyone to fill them all in on the outside world... which the most shocking news seemed to be about Roberto Luongo's trade. Neda is devastated over this news. Reality is, he wanted the trade, Neda, so be happy. Anyway... that's all I'll say about that.
Then Adel drops the bomb that he was given a special power and that he isn't going to tell anyone what it is. But then he goes ahead and tells Ika when they are alone. Really? Ika? *sigh* She's the last person that I would have told, but who am I to say who he should have told.
We then get to see a montage of Heather trying to have conversations with people, and they keep telling her their busy and to come back later. This is horrible. Why is everyone so mean to her? I get it's not fun to hang around with someone you may find annoying, but I hate seeing people excluded like this.
So the guys of the "First Five Alliance" want Sara to vote with them to keep Heather in the house. She's torn... and rightfully so. A vote like that would exile her from the girls' alliance... and Sabrina certainly isn't volunteering to do it. And... I'm skeptical that any of those guys would stick their necks out for her like that if the situation were reversed.
So we have a round of "speeches that don't matter because everyone's already made up their mind". Heather says she trusts that people will do what they said they will do. Yeah... honey... you shouldn't... because they aren't going to. Fast forward to the vote. People - just vote... you don't need to make snippy comments (Rachelle "I happily vote to evict, Heather")... ugh.
So Sara shoes me she is braver than I give her credit for... and votes Paul out of the house. I would have loved to have seen the look on Ika's face when that was announced, but anyway.
HOH competition is an endurance one. I will say that Neda and Rachelle looked pretty comfortable...
I won't say who won (because I did see who did)... but expect some interesting things to happen between now and the next episode Sunday night!!!!
And before I sign off... in "celebrity sighting" news... I saw Scott "Contessa" Bosse walking uptown Saint John today. He's having a Meet & Greet tonight at Bourbon Quarter at 7:00 PM for those in town who would like to meet him.
Have anything to say about last night's episode? Rant/Rave away in the comments section!

Big Brother - March 16
Let's jump right in tonight's show ... and let me start off by saying, I hate that Ika is HOH. This girl is the worst. She begins the show with her nastiness by making several rude comments about Allison's appearance and indicates she doesn't like her. Then we see that Kenny is kind of freaking out because he's met Allison before, he's afraid he will be "outed" by her. Heather is excited about the prospects of a new blond friend... blah blah.. we continue on with random comments about what people think about her.
Big Brother decides to give the Houseguests some booze to celebrate Allison's entry in to the house. I always enjoy the booze related celebrations. Everyone gets a little loopy and Kenny and Sabrina kiss. Kenny says (in the diary room) that he realizes he's taking advantage of Sabrina's crush on him, but he'll do what he needs to because "it's part of the game". This is a theme he will mention multiple times this episode.
Who wants to see Ika's HOH room??? I don't, but we have to. She reads her letter, everyone cries, blah blah blah. And, not to sound like an insensitive witch, but, are we going to be subjected to crying and dramatics with every letter? I mean, I would be missing my family too, but we're not even half way through the game people... we still have a long way to go.
We have the "Have/Have not" competition. The best part of this competition, which consists of houseguests stomping grapes, gathering the juice, making their way down a slippery slope and trying to fill a vat, is Paul sliding on his butt back and forth. I have to say, I cringe when they have these slippery challenges, because I hate when people slip and hit their heads. Much like Paul did in the beginning of this challenge, and like Heather did a few times. In the end, Paul is slow and his team loses, which means Paul, Jon and Allison are on slop. Welcome to the house Allison, enjoy your slop!
Then the Girls Alliance has a meeting to discuss nominee possibilities. Ika talks about her plan to nominate a girl as a "pawn". My thought was "terrible idea" and evidently Neda thought the same. She tries to talk some sense in to Ika and convince her that the better idea is to nominate the stronger boys. But, as she said earlier in the episode, Ika listens to no one but Ika and ignores Neda's suggestion. Ika then wants someone to voluntarily go up on the block as a "pawn". Um, has Ika never seen this show before? No one wants to go on the block, pawn or not... because you never know.
A quick comedic clip of Paul "losing it" after being on slop for just a short period of time. He threatens to eat some cake. Yikes Paul, I dunno if you're gonna make it.
Now, the nomination ceremony. Some random clips of people saying they think they are safe, including Heather who says "I'm feeling pretty safe. Ika's not going to put me up because I'm her girl.". Famous last words... because guess what? Heather is nominated, and so is Paul.
Thoughts on the nominations? POV results revealed on Wednesday's episode. :)

Big Brother Canada - March 13
Big episode tonight! A word of warning to start - with a sick husband and child, I truly am an overtired mommy, so this post will likely lack humour and may have the occasional irrational thought/rambling. Enjoy:
We start the episode with a recap of the last... and pickup again at the POV competition. Cut to the chase, Kenny wins (yay).
Flip over to the "other side" of the house, and there's some discussion about the "prep work" involved when Scott transforms in to Contessa. I love that all 3 houseguests worked on the transformation. I really like all three of them, it's a shame only one gets in to the house.
At the POV ceremony, Kenny allows the nominees to "tell him why he should use the POV on them". Can I just say, I hate these speeches. I mean, the POV holder has already made up their mind at this point whether they will use it or not, and if either nominee was planning to make a "plea" for the POV to be used, they usually have already done it before the actual ceremony. It's just unnecessary, and the speeches are never really very exciting anyway.
I have to admit that I laughed when Paul said his "plan to be the villain" was working. Is it? Perhaps I don't totally understand the point of the "plan", but anyway.
So we have a little clip of the Neda & Jon "hate fest" via Andrew. Neda indicates that all the girls in the house are sucking up to Andrew... flash to a shot of all the girls in bed with Andrew. What? What exactly was happening in that clip? That was weird.
Now a scene with the "outcast alliance" of Paul, Adel and Kyle. They talk about "what not to do" in the Big Brother house, and number one is never accuse someone of being racist. Should go without saying, but it was a funny scene.
Now the eviction ceremony... complete with more speeches that don't matter. Hate to tell you nominees, but everyone already has their minds made up at this point. So the only one who votes to keep Kyle is Adel. So bye bye Kyle. Just a side note that Paul apologized to Andrew during his speech. So does that mean his "plan to be the villain" is over?
When Kyle comes out, he makes a passionate speech about this life changing experience. It was really nice. Nice to see he has some redeeming qualities.
The HOH competition consists of questions about things that happened in the house. I will admit that I knew the answers to very few of the questions. The winner is Ika. Really? Ika? Boo. I was hoping for her to be nominated. But oh well, that's for another week.
Now it's time to find out how's going in to the house... and despite everyone claiming it was rigged so Scott would get in... Allison is voted in. Nate and Scott look devastated (although Nate gives a sad smile). Allison is told that she can't tell any houseguests about being in the secret room, about Scott and Nate, or about seeing some of the live feeds. If she reveals any of this information, she will be evicted.
She is escorted in to the house, and when the houseguests come in, she pretends to act surprised that they're already there. I guess that's one way to get around it.
I can't wait to see how she makes out. But I'm kind of assuming she will become a target because she's "the new girl".
What did you think of tonight's episode?

She is escorted in to the house, and when the houseguests come in, she pretends to act surprised that they're already there. I guess that's one way to get around it.
I can't wait to see how she makes out. But I'm kind of assuming she will become a target because she's "the new girl".

Big Brother Canada - March 12
As always, we begin tonight's episode with a recap of what just happened at the end of the previous episode - specifically, Paul calling Andrew sexist and racist. Yikes. We see several people jump up, some yell, some just sit in silence ( the look on Adel's face is priceless). Then Paul heads to the bathroom where he does a little monologue to indicate this was all part of his plan. Really? Because I feel like you're just trying to "save face"... but even if that's true... your plan is terrible. Probably one of the worst plans I've ever heard. I'm pretty sure accusing someone of being racist and sexist is not a good way to win the game... He said he has to be "the bad guy" for a bit. Yeah, the "bad guy" thing worked for Dr. Will (remember the "I hate you all" speech?), but this is different. It's not like you were just saying you don't like him... you accused him of being RACIST. Particularly telling was the exchange between Ika and Paul:
Ika - "You can't just call people racist"
Paul - "I'm just hurt, that's all".
Oooohhhh well then, that's a good reason to call someone racist.
So the drama carries on for a bit, so Big Brother decides to tackle the situation head-on, by forcing the houseguests to do a team building activity. Ah yes, team building... those two words that every office worker shudders at when it's mentioned for a staff meeting. So it involves houseguests guiding blindfolded houseguests around the house and having them clean while blindfolded. Ahhh... I see what you did there Big Brother. The house was gross. I mean so dirty. Here's an example (keep in mind, this screen shot was from the live feeds the first day they were live):
And all bedrooms are just as messy. So I guess this was one way to get the houseguests to clean up their mess, since they don't seem to interested in doing it themselves. I think the highlight of this activity was watching Kyle fix his hair and check himself out while he was "helping".
So everyone says how fun it is blah blah blah.
On to the POV competition. Turns out everyone competing in the competition gets a preview of the movie Divergent. I'm not going to lie... I'm jealous. I would like to see it too.
Anyway, they watch the movie, and cue all of your typical movie comments "special effects were awesome", " great plot", etc. My favourite though, was this comment: "The similarities between this movie and the Big Brother house are incredible". Um yeah, I don't know how many of you read the book, but *spoiler alert*, people are trying to kill each other.... so obviously that was meant figuratively, or there's some pretty serious drama that they're not airing on the show.
Flip over to the other side of the house... aka... the 3 potential houseguests. They get a glimpse in to the drama that Paul started... they're all shocked. Then Big Brother gives them an hour to choose a costume and think about what they will say to Canada to encourage viewers to vote them in the house. They stress about their costumes. Newsflash... I don't really care what you're wearing... rest assured, you could have the most clever/awesome costume ever... but if you are annoying or some kind of jerk, I'm not voting for you.
In Allison's message, she said she's been watching the show since she was 11. Yikes. I feel old.
Scott dresses in drag and gives a shout-out to Saint John. I love it. Although, I'm reading a lot of people getting a hate on for him because people feel that Big Brother is "favouring him". I'm not really sure what that means. I haven't analyzed how much he's been on screen compared to anyone else, so I guess I don't know.
And Nate... he seems nice enough, just not sure he's a "grab your attention" kind of guy the way Allison and Scott seem to be.
So POV challenge... you have to face your fears. Paul is scared of heights. As much as I dislike him in this episode... I can relate. Nice of Kyle and Adel to come over and encourage him as well. That will be the extent of my praise for any of these people for tonight's show.
So the winner is..... we have to wait. Big Brother decides to go the "cliffhanger" route and make us wait until the next episode.
Although not me.... I'm impatient, so I read the spoilers. So I already know. :) But I won't spoil it for you.
What do you think about tonight's episode? Who's going home? Who's going in the house? I guess we'll find out!
