An Open Letter to "Junk Food"

Dear Junk Food,

We've had a good run.  Over the last few months, I've eaten as much of you as I can handle.  You're starting to stick around on part of my body that I would prefer you didn't.  So, because of that, we have to end our relationship.... I'm not saying we can't see eachother anymore, but we're really going to have to limit our contact.  I'm sure we'll still see eachother at birthday parties... maybe a dessert every once in a while, but, the afternoon meetings, the evening snacks... they have to stop.  I'm sorry.  I'm sure you'll find someone else to fill the void.

Sincerely,

An overtired (and a few pounds heavier) mama

My Dream Job

So, as I take a quick break from my "real" job, I was thinking about what my "dream job" would be.  Unfortunately, unless there is a job that exists that would involve watching trashy reality shows and telling people what I think while playing around on Facebook and Twitter..... I'm not really sure a "dream job" exists for me.

So, if anyone hears of a company looking for my opinion on reality tv... let me know. :)

Another Reality TV Post - Big Brother

So, I admit, I love Big Brother... maybe that's a bad thing.... if it is, I don't want to be right.

But this season of BB is making me question my love for the show, for a few reasons:

1 - Rachel - I could go on about this girl for days... her and "her man... the crying... pouting... all of it!  It drives me crazy.  She could, quite possibly, be the most annoying reality tv personality I've ever seen (save for the girls on "Flavor of Love" and "Rock of Love").  Who is this girl?  Where did she come from?  Is she for real? I mean, we know the boobs aren't real (as she's mentioned about 50 million times), but I mean the way she acts.... is this just for the camera or is she really like this?   I used to think "there can't be anyone who really acts like this", but the more I watch her...the more I think she's just an idiot.  Now, before people start telling me about her educational background.... I realize she has a degree in a field I probably would not have done very well in, but just because you're "book smart" doesn't mean it necessarily translates to real life.  Am I being too mean?  Hey, if you don't want to be criticized... don't go on reality tv.

2 - What is it this season with people taking things so personally?  For gosh sakes this is a competition for money!  There is a prize people... an the prize is not awarded to the person with the most friends... so suck it up and move on or get the hell out of the house!

3 - Over the last number of season I've heard about 50 people say they are "the best player to ever play the game".... no, you're not.  Most of you who are saying that are idiots.  Take for example Rachel and Brendon.... "we are the best couple to have ever played the game"... Really?  So was it part of your plan not to win?  Because if so, I stand corrected, you are the best... at losing.  Shut up.

4 - Lawon - I can't even begin to describe what I was thinking when he offered to be voted out last night.  We all know how stupid it was, so I'm just going to move on.

5 - What exactly is the point of Porshe being on this show?  She does nothing.  When they show her on camera it's kind of like "oh yeah, there's that girl again".  Her hosting duties during the veto competition?  Awful.  Worst actress ever.  But, I did read she is friends with Janelle from a few seasons ago.... I'll leave it at that.

Anway, why should you care about what I have to say about Big Brother?  I don't know, but thanks for reading.

Bachelor Pad

So, I'm pretty sure this show is the  most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, but, I can't look away.

Multiple observations:

 - Vienna bothers me.  She did during Jake's season... and this just re-confirms for me how much I dislike her.  "I'm not in this game because you aren't protecting me"... what?  Her boyfriend's talking to her the whole time, then she throws out "I feel ignored"... what more do you want?  Do you want him to hump your leg?  Shut up Vienna.

- Why do so many girls say "literally" so much?  I feel like it could be a drinking game... a drink everytime someone says "literally"... or even better... take a drink everytime someone cries.

-So this Justin "the wrestler"... he didn't really bother me so much when he was on the Bachelorette...  I mean, I didn't like him, but I didn't hate him.  But I notice he's trying to come in as the "villain"... so, is this because he's a wrestler?  Because he's a fan of Bentley from the last Bachelorette?  Or is he just a douche bag?  Who knows?  Only time will tell...

- Michelle Money bothered me when she was on the Bachelor... but I'm still kind of hoping she brings out a little crazy in this house.

- So, I didn't watch the Bachelor the season this "Princess" girl was in (I can't even remember her name)... but I can tell I don't like her... lets get her out of there.

- And finally... lets be real, there are very few likeable people on Bachelor Pad, so I guess it's a case of "figure out who you dislike the least".

Thoughts?  Comments?  Is there anyone actually reading this blog?  Once again.... only time will tell.

Quotes from around my house

After spending the entire day taking care of and cleaning up after my daugher (who is in a "tantrum about everything" stage)....

My husband: "In case you didn't notice, I did the dishes."

Me: "I noticed.  Thanks"

My husband: "Well, you didn't mention anything about it, so I thought I would point it out"

Yeah, thanks.  Do you want me to point out everything I did today?  lol

Looooonnnnnggg Break

So, I've been away from the blog for a very long time... obviously.  Was it because I was doing something exciting?  Sadly, no, I was just lazy.  I went back to work, and was too tired to do anything when I came home from work, as my daughter was still not sleeping through the night.  She finally started sleeping through the night 5 months after I went back to work.  Thank goodness!

Then I decided with my extra energy I would become a Zumba instructor!  So in addition to my regular job, I teach Zumba fitness classes 2 nights a week.

Anyway, that's enough for this boring post.  I'll be posting a little more frequently now.  Hopefully.
